Industries fail to give gas details |

Industries
have not yet submitted the details of the use of cooking gas for industrial
purposes though Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) had asked them to do so about two
weeks back.
NOC has asked the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry,
Confederation of Nepalese Industries, Nepal Chamber of Commerce and other
industries to submit details regarding the use of cooking gas for industrial
purposes, said acting managing director of NOC Suresh Kumar Agrawal, adding
that only four companies have submitted the details so far.
NOC has predicted that a total of 40 per cent cooking gas is used for
industrial purposes. "But, the actual data will be revealed only after the
industries submit their details," informed Agrawal.
The corporation will once again ask industries to submit details of consumption
if they fail to submit it within this week, he said. It has suspected that
bottling plants are supplying gas directly to industries which has created a
scarcity for general consumers, he added.
