Nepse red by diminutive

The sole secondary market of Nepal ended in red carpet after major sectors fails to post the gains. The benchmark Nepse index lost 0.25 points or 0.08% to settle at 317.59.

Merely 73 companies registered their presence in the secondary market with 28 gainers and 29 losers. The A-D ratio was maintained at .97. All in all 60024 shares traded today via 1042 transactions. Moreover, Rs. 10655869 turnover was realized along with Rs.295294.64 million market capitalizations.

Banking sector holding the heavy volume of trade in Nepal Stock Exchange plummets 0.06 points or 0.02% to settle at 262.05. Others sector descends 1.18 points or 0.23% to close at 512.28. Similarly, hotels skids 0.76 points along with 0.49 points down in insurance sub-indices to 410.54 and 396.18 respectively. Development bank lost 0.35 points or 0.14% to respite at 254.91. However hydropower sector added 1.21 points or 0.23% to close at 527.67.

Sensitive index closed negative of 0.06 points or 0.08% to close at 78.07. Nepal stock exchange has classified Group 'A' companies for the fiscal year 2067/68. 115 companies have been included in the blue chips scrip at secondary market from previous year of 94. 28 new companies have been added in A list while 5 companies have been delisted from A grade. While, the float index calculated on the basis of real transaction downhill 0.026 points or 0.1% to 25.12.

 The top five standouts of the day are LGIL(9.47%), PDB( 4.76%), VFL( 3.74%), LUBL( 3.29%), CDBL(2.44%). Whereas, CORBL(-8.18%), ALICL(-6.17%), SBI( -5%), NMB( -3.73%), SMBF( -3.45%). comprised of the top five losers.
